MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

Deputy Mayor D’Angelo led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

A Motion to Open the Public Meeting was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, Seconded by Trustee Im and called to order at 7:36 pm and approved by all.

MINUTES

Motion to approve the minutes from the November 9, 2022, Board of Trustees Meeting was made by Trustee LiCalzi, seconded by Trustee Williams, and approved by all.

NEW BUSINESS=

GIRL SCOUT GOLD AWARD

Sophia Koutsourakis presented her Girl Scout Gold Award Project which includes purchasing recycling bins for Waldmann and Copley Pond Park. Once her project is approved by the Girl Scouts she will contact Ted Boutzalis, Maintenance Supervisor, to select the style/color of the recyclable bins and finalize exact location and installation.   

ARBOR DAY

The Village is scheduled to plant up to 50 specimen trees throughout the Village during the 2022/23 planting season (which runs from the first frost in Autumn, 2022 through April, 2023).  The first such tree – an Acer rubrum (“October Glory” Red Maple) – will be planted on December 19, 2022 in Copley Pond Park.  This planting is a continuation of the multi-year efforts of the Board to restore the tree canopy in the Village with a diversity of specimen trees, including oaks, maples, elms, beeches and other specimen varieties. 

 

FINANCIAL REPORT

Deputy Mayor D’Angelo reported one highlighted expense for November which included $14,615.00 to ACA Electric for the various electrical projects around the Village.  

 

PUBLIC SAFETY

Trustee Williams presented the following reports:

·         POLICE REPORT: The Police Report for October 2022 notes four (4) Auto Accidents, None (0) Burglary-Residence, None (0) Burglary-Business, None (0) Robberies, None (0) Larceny-Auto incident, Two (2) Larceny (other than auto), None (0) Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 31 summonses (25 Movers and 6 Parkers). 

·         JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for November 2022 notes total fines assessed in the amount of $3,194.00.

·         BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report notes that between June 1, 2022 to December 8, 2022 a total of 110 permits have been issued totaling $138,480.00 in Building Permit Fees.

 

Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo, Seconded by Trustee Im and approved by all at 8:00 PM.
