AT A SPECIAL / REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF MUNSEY PARK HELD ON January 30, 2023:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF MUNSEY PARK AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN VILLAGE FUNDS TO A CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT.
WHEREAS, the First National Bank of Long Island is designated as the official bank for the Incorporated Village of Munsey Park;
WHEREAS, The Incorporated Village of Munsey Park maintains a checking account with the First National Bank of Long Island, comprised of Village money, used in conducting the regular business of the Village;
WHEREAS, the money in the checking account can produce a higher yield being held in Certificates of Deposit (hereinafter referred to as “CD”);
WHEREAS, current yields on certificates of deposit with the First National Bank of Long Island are 4.03% APY for a three (3) month CD;
WHEREAS, gaining a higher yield through a short-term CD is in the best interests of the Village and it’s residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF MUNSEY PARK:
That one million dollars ($1,000,00.00) dollars from the Village’s Checking Account be transferred to a three (3) month CD with the First National Bank of Long Island, at the rate set forth above;
The forgoing resolution was moved by Antonio D’Angelo and seconded by Lawrence Ceriello, and adopted as follows:
