MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

held on Wednesday, July 12, 2022

Mayor Ceriello led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

A Motion to Open the Public Meeting was made by Trustee Im, Seconded by Mayor Ceriello and called to order at 7:32 pm and approved by all.

 MINUTES

A motion to approve the minutes for the June 15, 2022 Board of Trustees meeting was made by Trustee LiCalzi, Seconded by Trustee Williams and approved by all.

 MAYOR’S REPORT

BED BATH & BEYOND UPDATE

Mayor Ceriello updated the Board on the status of the vacant Bed Bath & Beyond/Whole Foods site. The Mayor has heard speculation of potential tenants but nothing has been confirmed.  He will continue to update the Board on the future of this building and the Benihana/Chase properties as well.

JIMMY’S RUN

Jimmy’s Run (Lead the Way Foundation) will take place on September 11, 2022.  The Mayor asked the organizers that this year’s run should include better signage along with supervised traffic control.  Motion to approve Jimmy’s Run in the Village on September 11, 2022 was made by Trustee LiCalzi, seconded by Trustee Williams and approved by all. 

FINANCIAL REPORT

Deputy Mayor D’Angelo reported two highlighted expenses in June which covered purchasing a used lawnmower and a preventive road maintenance project which included the application of a hot seal to various roads within the Village.  

PUBLIC SAFETY

Trustee Williams presented the following reports:

POLICE REPORT: The Police Report for May 2022 notes two (2) Auto Accidents, no Burglary-Residence, no Burglary-Business, no Robberies, two (2) Larceny-Auto incident, five (5) Larceny (other than auto), no Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 8 summonses (5 Movers and 3 Parkers). 

JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for June 2022 notes total fines assessed in the amount of $2,550.00

BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report notes that between June 1, 2022 to July 6, 2022 a total of 7 permits have been issued totaling $10,759 in Building Permit Fees.

 

Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Trustee Im, Seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and approved by all at 8:42PM.
