The Mayor called the meeting to order at 8:00 PM.
2007 ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
Christopher Clement of Dvirka & Bartilucci reported that the road construction is moving along nicely since we have had nice weather. The final phase of this project should be completed by Thanksgiving.
MINUTES for the meeting of September 12, 2007, were approved as submitted.
CLAIMS from October 2007 were presented by the Deputy Clerk Disbursements as detailed in Abstract of Vouchers in the amount of $501,004.89, including a claim paid to New York Paving for roadwork in the amount of $433,325.24 and rubbish removal of $27,762.50.
JUSTICE REPORT for September, 2007 was submitted and stated revenues in the amount of $8355.00, of which $2,235.00 was for parking.
POLICE REPORT for September, 2007 was distributed to the Board. During the month, 89 tickets were issued (48 for vehicle and traffic violation and 41 for parking). There were 5 auto accidents, 7 aided (other than auto), 0 larceny (other than auto), 2 criminal mischief reports.
BUILDING INSPECTOR REPORT for September, 2007 was submitted to the Board.
COUNSEL REPORT / COURT MATTERS
The Village Attorney had nothing to report at this time to the Board of Trustees.
GRANT
The Mayor stated that the Village is still actively pursuing grants to complete the restoration of Copley Pond and the resurfacing of parts of Park Avenue. A committee has been established to write said grants Village residents with expertise in this area are requested to come forward to volunteer their services.
ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARADE
The Village received a letter from the Women’s Club of Munsey Park requesting permission for the Annual Halloween Parade and the use of Waldmann Park on Saturday, October 27, 2007. The rain date Sunday, October 28, 2007.
Mayor Nicolaides made a motion, which was seconded by Trustee Elaine Phillips. He so moved that the Women’s Club be authorized to use Waldmann Park to hold their Annual Halloween parade.
LA COQUILLE RESTAURANT
Mrs. Chris Lopez appeared before the Board about her concerns in reference to the expansion of La Coquille Restaurant on Northern Blvd.
At 9:15 PM a motion was made to adjourn to Executive Session to discuss personnel matters.
On the roll call, the vote to enter executive session was as follows:

The Mayor declared the motion approved.
No action was taken during the Executive Session.
